Does anyone know how thick the friction material on a new 1100 clutch is?
The reason I ask is that I intend to lube the clutch spline shortly and I'm trying to determine wether it's worth replacing the clutch while I'm at it.
To this end I've removed the starter motor to gain access to the clutch. I can now measure the current thickness. By knowing the new thickness I can approximate the life remaining, or until I reach 4.5mm service limit.
Here's a nice picture in case anyones interested
Thanks.
Russ.
