New colour scheme for 12GS - please!

Does anyone know about if there'll be some new colours for the 12? To be honest I find the present scheme about as exciting as the Ford range so there's no chance I'll be parting with my dosh for a 12 unless there's a scheme with a bit more class i.e black.

Until that time, i'll stay with the 1150 in black and wait for just a bit more street presence to be made available.

Here's photos of my Bavarian Racing Green R1200GS, including info on repainting.

Getting the color changed is quite easy, as you only have to remove 2 pieces of plastic. You could probably have just about any color you want for a couple hundred US dollars (plus or minus, depending).

That looks exceptional! I too have been disappointed with the color line-up on the 12s. But I didn't think outside the box enough. Cheap too!

There are only two coloured parts on the whole bike - the beak and the tank cover - so getting them resprayed shoudn't be too much hassle. You could even use the bike with these parts removed if you wanted

Aren't the brakes on the 12 controlled ELECTRICALLY ? - they'll never be ok as long as the battery is struggling to keep Kenny in competition with Blackpool!!!

Yes brakes seem to be fine now probably get another 9,000 before they need doing again eh.

Since they changed the disks I aint heard it again.

The thing is because I don’t use them (brakes) very much I have more power to play with for my decorations.
