New Corbin Fitted.

For those who are thinking about a Corbin for their ADV here's a couple of pics.

Comfort is a lot better, more room to move around, its also heated so should keep my arse warm for the rest of the winter.

If it's not a rude question Andy, how much was it and did it fit without any problems ? It looks rather comfy !

Couple of questions..........
Does the Corbin make the seat height lower than
a) Standard seat
b) Lower seat

and thus easier to get your feet on floor.

Plus what's the seat to footpeg relationship like with a Corbin, is it closer, the same as normal seat or more of a stretch?
If it's more cramped - ie closer, is it still comfy???

Fortunatly for me I have a friend in the trade who got it for me at a very good price which I can't repeat.

It was very easy to fit, you just take a small bracket off the OE seat and put it on the Corbin. Its a HEATED version which took about 1 hour to do.

It is very comfy and nice and warm.

I think they retail about £650 ish

Its about the same hight as the lower seat but its wider, not much differance really. I'm 5'10 and its OK.

The footpeg thing is the same as with the low seat, personaly I have lowered foot pegs so its very comfy. There's a lot more room to move around also the pillion seat is a lot more comfy.

I recently added a Corbin to my R1200GS, which I consider to be MUCH more comfortable than the stock seat. But on the high setting I could no longer reach the ground comfortably with my 32" inseam. That's largely because the forward portion of the Corbin is considerably wider than the stock seat. Even on the lower setting it's still a stretch to the ground. At the same time, the lower seat position makes for a more cramped reach to the pegs. So now I'm considering a peg lowering kit of some kind. What's more, I can't yet get the seat to latch properly, but I'm working on it.

Andy, most important question has to be......What does SWMBO think of it. The Pillion seat looks rather small to me. Looking forward to seeing/trying soon

SWMBO says its much better than the other one, its bigger than the stock pilion perch and much deeper, and its oooooh so warm and cosy with the heater swiched on.

Corbin also sent a back rest over for me to try it fits behind the rider or the pilion.
