And most important, this machine has no heeted grips-is £300 for an oe set a bit steep? and if not, any good aftermarket types which fit/work well? Thanks !!

Dont know if you've tried this site:
www.bmwf650.co.uk
they're dedicated to the F650 in all its forms & they've got links to other F650 enthusiasts? sites.
If you can find out info anywhere about seats/grips etc, this is the place.
Good hunting,

£300 quid??? Give motorworks a ring. £115 for a set of genuine bmw heated grips including all wiring, switch, screws etc and a new handlebar set. A piece of piss to fit yourself providing you have a modicum of technical know how. Its all in the instruction book although the pictures are only on the pages with the german text so you'll have to either photocopy them or flick between the english pages and the german.:D
