Well, about bl**dy time. Will finally have a choice a bit nearer home.

Chandlers BMW, the local BMW car dealer, is opening a motorcycle centre in Portslade in March. Few details yet, but they are listed on the BMW UK site, so suppose it's pukka. Says they plan for it to be one of the biggest in the UK. Wonder who they will steal from Bahnstormer/SLM, etc. to staff it? Or will it be numptys from the car department...?

Details here.

Chandlers Bikes Update.

Just a quick note to say we are still on course to complete the showroom by the first week of March, Bikes, Clothing and Parts. The Workshop will follow on, opening for work from Tuesday the 17th. We are already taking bookings for Test rides and service work so give us a shout if you need anything.

Thanks to all of you who have contacted us so far. It seems that a dealer in Brighton was well overdue. We shall do a quiet opening, just to make sure you don't get the Terminal 5 experience and have a more formal party later this year as our customer base builds.

Now is a good time to ask for your opinions on what we can offer to you. Most suggestions would be welcome! We will be starting with a small team and building it as the business grows and as the sun starts to shine. To answer Banjaxed question re staff, we are all experienced with BMW and other make motorcycles.

Big Shop, Great team, Great Cafe, Even better Fry up. 2 minutes from the beach. 10 minutes from the Pier. Lots of hard work ahead.

Hope to see you for a cuppa.

Fair enough!

Glad to see you on here - you'll find most tossers (technical term for members) are a good bunch. Credit it given where it's due and brickbats will rain on your head if you mess people about. Any new organisation has teething troubles and I expect you'll be no different - that's not really an issue. What's your official opening date? March 7th?

One suggestion for you - if your advertising budget can stretch to it, pay your subscription to the site like everyone else. That way, there will be no misunderstandings and you'll have access to all the facilities.

Such as offering us half-price servicing :clap and free twat-suits (another technical term)...:augie:augie:augie:augie

I went for a look around on Thursday, had a chat with a guy who was just sorting out the bikes (sorry did'nt get his name) looks like a nice big showroom and its right out front not tucked away. Will pop back in the future, about time we had a dealer down this way. Have always gone to Vines and had great service there i hope Chandlers can do the same or if not better.

Good luck guys.:thumb2

Popped in there today to see about new system 6 and have a general nose about. Nice showroom, friendly and very helpful. :thumb2

Paid them a visit today. Big showroom with loads of bikes across the range. Very nice looking G 650 xchallenge as a centre piece, but a smallish clothing section. They were quite busy compared to the car showroom though :tumbleweed so good luck to them :aidan

Popped my head round the door yesterday.
Very nice set-up, warm and friendly welcome, Wheelies Cafe next door.

A very good friend of mine has just got the job in the parts department, he's very enthusiastic and keen so good addition to what already appears to be a good team.

Just what the south coast needs.

All the best chaps :thumb2

I Love Chanderlers

Yesterday I Collected my new K1300gt bike from the new and VERY friendly Chanderlers Motarad Store at Brighton ( Portslade if you are looking for it on a map) I was pleased to see Chris Gusman and Simon Cope (formerly of South London BMW). I was allowed to unpack my new pride and joy,Watch the Technician assemble and PDI my bike and experiance a perfect handover from the well trained sales team at Chanderlers. To top it all I was given a very fair PX for my beloved RT. YESTERDAY WAS A DAY I WILL SAVOUR FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. If your thinking of buying a new toy give the boys at Chandelers a call.

So what is a fair PX on a RT year and miles ? my RT was only worth to one dealer £7500, my RT 20'000 miles and just over a year old. thats a £5000 loss in year one ??
