The seat is as comfy as any Beemer I fell for this bike when I hired one in gran canaries last May with this seat you don't slide forward as much, tend to sit more in it, as for the width not seen it with panniers on yet still waiting for mine but never had any trouble filtering on the LT and she is a really wide lady! Shush don't tell her I said that lol.

The spec's list this as narrower than standard GS but taller?

Testing one today. Good bike. Whether id spend the extra or if its worth the extra over my own 800 I am not sure. ESA didn't do much. Seat is slightly taller than my own comfort seat. Screen was ok. No better or worse. Really quiet exhaust note now. Not the same burble although it looks exact same
