New f650gs se

While acting as Medic /Guide for the recent E Scooter in London my Mate was using the 650 and loved it . I was on a 12 , escorting Journo's out to Kent from Canary Warf . He loved it , it was quick enough and easy handling . Great bike:thumb2

No, I think the 650, 700 series are almost unbeatable. My only reservation is the way it gets kicked around on gusty motorways, keep them off motorways where possible ( and who wouldn't?) and they are a great biking experience.

Maybe a 700 as well one day? .......

2 months and 1400 miles! Ah your user name makes sense now and that reminds me why i stopped using one of your colleagues fleecing me for filling in a tax return. Seroiusly whatever floats ur boat i am jealous that you can do it

I'm not sure what you mean? 2 months or 1400 miles is not long enough to make a rational decision? That I gave up too easily?

I'm really sorry if that came across as bragging, it was the last thing I intended. The reasons I sold my one year old 1200 were reasonable but I am concerned about my hearing. The wind roar over the 800 screen is firing up tinnitus and because I liked the SE so much I was riding it at every opportunity, mostly for pleasure rather than necessary transport purposes.

Safety wise, I find the 1200s more stable at motorway speeds, the Telelever is fabulous and the shaft a lot easier than a chain. The Adventure screen is perfect for me.

Yes I wasted a shedload of money, if I had delayed I would have wasted a lot more. Thankfully as I haven't smoked since 1980, have been tee-total for three years now it is my only extravagance.

I'm not dissing the 650-700s, they are some of the best bikes out there but I valuews my hearing too much to continue this particular route.

No, of course I still want to come to the pub. Sadly we are having a lot of disruptions to our free time due to infirmed parents / in-laws etc.

Keep trying me, I'll get there soon!

Regards

Phil

I've discovered that Cheesy Wotsits make great use once earplugs AND you have a handy Hors D'oeuvre for when you arrive.
