Looks good :thumb2

Looks fine - no real differences to my 09 one really.

Shame that as normal, BMW feel they can sell a bike which will need to have lots of 'options' in order to make it a decent all 'round bike. I bet teh screen and seat will be the first things needing to be changed by most folk.

What weight savings and fuel economy improvements will it have i wonder ?

I can't see me selling my 800 for this anytime soon :)

Why did they feel the need to tilt the photo ? What does that do ?

F700GS looks the business, like the addition of double discs:clap

Thanks Gonzo :thumb

I have to be honest, from a purely visual point of view i can't see the changes making someone who didn't like the look of the bike suddenly go buy one :nenau

The performance of the 700cc lump would be the deal clincher rather than minute changes in the look.

And I think that's a fair point. I had a 650GS single before my 1200GS and the difference between them was huge.

However with power up to 75bhp on the 700, a lighter bike and a pretty good-looking price, as well as the fact that its a twin, I can stop dreaming about another 1200 with misty eyes and go for the 700. The 800, which as you say won't be much different, never seemed amazing value for money, but then maybe I never looked at it seriously enough.:blast

Just need to check out the seat height now. At 6'2", some bikes feel a tad short-arsed.

Did they simply change the radiator shroud? Can't really see any other differences?

Fair play, it was a ruddy good first effort anyway! :)

Yup, new ones look a bit "Multistrada"...

Seems BMW are trying to differentiate between similar models, now the G650GS has put in an appearance... so you have the 650 single, the "700" twin for on-road, and the 800 twin for off-road.

They've realised, too, that "Persons of Reduced Stature" might want an 800 with its off-road bias, so they've added lowered suspension.

And as the "700" twin isn't the low-budget entry-level model any more, they can put twin discs on it, and presumably raise the price a little?
