New Firefox 2 just out with built in spell checker

Apart from Right Click|Open in new Tab, is there any way to set this thing up to automatically open a link in a new tab/page?

For example, when opening a discussion thread?

This works in both Microshite & Firefox:

to open a new window: hold down the shift key whilst clicking a link

to open a new tab: hold down the control key whilst clicking a link

I find sharing the clicking/pressing load between right & left hand digit helps reduce the discomfort I have from a mouse induced RSI. Of course, some people might find diverting their left hand to the keyboard inconvenient......

Only because they are using their left hand to provide stimulus and relief on certain adult websites!

in a screw with a screwdriver.

I have used Firefox for over a year now and think that the new version is great. It does so much that I don't have Internet Explorer on any of my PCs at all. I have also stopped using Outlook and use Thunderbird, also from Mozilla.
As I sometimes type too quickly, I find the spell checker very good.
It also works with my online banking (Barclays, Nationwide and Halifax).

There's a little blue tick in a box at the bottom of the screen....that turns it on or off and a right click accesses the options ;)

Good ain't it :thumb

the forum's hyperlink button doesn't work for me in firefox
That and the img button has never worked since I swapped to the older version for me.

The img thing is easy enough to by-pass but the hyperlink is a real pain.

odd. image button always works fine here. never got the hyperlink one to work though.

Microsoft Firefox 2007

Microsoft have now taken over Firefox - http://www.msfirefox.com/microsoft-firefox/index.html

From http://www.msfirefox.com/microsoft-press-releases.html

Microsoft Completes Acquisition of Mozilla Firefox
Combined browsing technologies to deliver an unmatched experience that redefines how people engage with spyware, viruses and other nasties in this digital era.

REDMOND, Wash. – October. 24, 2006 – Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq: MSFT) today announced the completion of its acquisition of the Mozilla Firefox Web Browser. The transaction was finalized on Saturday, October 23, 2006. As a result of the acquisition, Microsoft share prices jumped 5.7%. Mozilla Corporation's share prices remained at zero.

The acquisition brings together two of the industry’s strongest contenders and is the most ubiquitous incorporation of technologies for creating, managing and delivering compelling spyware and viral experiences across multiple operating systems, devices and media (Subject to Microsoft Compatibility).

I'm impressed with the new version of RSS support...

From http://www.msfirefox.com/microsoft-r-firefox-support/what-is-rss.html

What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Sex. Microsoft's patented RSS technology is a way for Microsoft Firefox's inbuilt renderer to dynamically recognize and distinguish anything that resembles a tit or a boob. RSS will then utilize its algorithmic web caching features to download those images at the speed of light. Pornography has never been faster, easier or simpler. How to enable RSS:
The site you're visiting must offer pornography. Microsoft Firefox will notify you of any explicit images it detects by illuminating (in red or orange) the RSS button on your toolbar.
Click the red/orange "Sex" button to see a list of images that can be downloaded using RSS. Download them by clicking "Simple Sex me Automatically" in the upper part of the screen.
Microsoft Firefox will now dynamically monitor all webpages, and enables it's protected algorithms to speed up the rendering of all explicit but fun images. By default, all downloaded and enjoyable content maybe found in the Sex section of your Favorites Toolbar each time you open Microsoft Firefox.
Note: RSS is smart enough recognize and disregard irrelevant objects such as balloons, basketballs, soccer balls or two elephants standing next to one another. That is the power of Microsoft Real Simple Sex.
