New GS or RT

Hi,

Well you may already know but I dont ride a GS (Don't start stoning me yet)- good news it is a BM!!! But its a R1100s ( I know theres Boxertrix) but this site's better!

Changed from the R1100RT in March to the 1100s and don't seem to be able to Gel - Like the GS but loved the RT, whats the advice - look at the new GS or wait for the new RT in NOvember?

ps - a mate has the GS now and I don't really want to copy him!!

cant really help can we - you know what type of riding you do adn what type of rider you are. On top yoiu have the uncertyainty of new models....

I had a gorgeous '01 R1100S in Metallic blue - stunning - loved it from the moment the bike was launched.

Even had the higher screen and Wanderlinde exhaust put on it. But boy, was it uncomfortable. And impractical. Rain just sprays straight up into your visor from the screen and the fuel tank is small - with no fuel guage - and its very uncomfortable for anyone over 5'9''. I guess BMW really do mean it as a 'sports' bike.

I sold it for my GS Adv. Although my intention was to get an RT! I like my gadgets and creature comforts.

I think the GS is the better all-round bike. And as you can see if you trawl this forum, there is plenty of tasty kit to furnish it with!

Get the GS. You know you want it.
