I was given one of these as a loan bike for the last two days.

It's much like riding any new WC GS - the only real difference is that the new seat is a plank of wood painted black.

Not seeing the appeal of it. :nenau

Is that supposed to be a ride report ? My arse or rather yours !

Are you a journalist by any chance ?

Once upon a time, long, long ago he wrote a ride report, but it was once and it was long ago, the end!

To be fair to lunc, I spent the day on one in Portugal last week and there isn't a great deal to say. It's a GS with a new paint scheme and a few bits from the off road catalogue. They were Pavey's new fleet bikes for the Off Road schools though sadly none had the 20mm Sports suspension to try but as he said, for most people you want your feet nearer the ground rather than further away. None of the bikes had ESA either which was interesting to try. I missed the convenience of the electronics, going from off road to tarmac as we were doing, but I thought the manual set up coped well. In actual fact I came away thinking that the Rallye I'd have is the bog standard one for £12700. At that price it has everything I would need.
