So you have it remapped.
The new engine will be 100% water cooled, possibly improved tolerances. The virtue of the GS is low down power and handling. Imho it does not need more power, however I expect it to be around 142 to 145bhp.

My 1250 will be my last GS.
I feel that BMW have lost their way.The bikes are becoming loaded with unwanted tech.
I’d rather BMW concentrate on build quality and paint finish etc.
I’ll probably keep the 1250 a few more years but then get something a bit lighter and simpler.
I’m not paying £20000+ for a bike festooned with gadgets I have no need for.

Apparently no Basic models without ESA will be available so I will not buying one.
I will keep my 2022 model GSA Basic for two up touring abroad , the KTM 1090 S for when the madness takes me and the recently acquired r1150gs as my everyday bike.

I too am really pissed off with bmw , this GSA 1250 will be my last one , They are selling new ones with led headlights, I still waiting for mine to be converted

TBF people on this forum have said almost exactly the same thing for each generation of the oilhead 1200, LC1200, LC1250, each of which has sold very well indeed. Clearly the tech and improvements are not "unwanted" by many customers.
How about backlit switchgear rather than active cruise control ? I feel BMW have lost their sense of direction .
I am sure the 1300GS will be nice. However it will cost £20k.
I will not be upgrading and i could afford to. I intend to spend it on more trips on my R1200GS LC and G650X country instead.
My 2016 is running well and having recently spent £550 for both ESA to be serviced, BHPUK remap it is sublime with more than enough poke.

Same for me, I'm more than happy with my R1200GSA Rallye, That said, The new R1400 will pull on me, but only after at least a year after launch. I have mates that will upgrade as soon as physically possible. I even had a mate buy a new bike because it had the dynamic break light
Some people just need to have the latest and greatest, And I get that.
I won`t be buying the new model.
The 1250 i bought new in `21 is my `forever bike` and i intend to keep it unil i can no longer sling a leg over.
Unfortunately i bought it in my mid fifties so if my long-term intentions go to plan i might only get 15 years out of it.
I`ve always admired folk who have bough a vehicle new and kept it for 20+ years, plus i`m not fickle - swapping
just because there`s a new model on the scene is not an attractive characteristic trait in my view.

I'm keeping my 2020 1250GSA for a while and when and if I do sell it I'll likely change to a Road King.
Quite a difference . I like my GSA 1250 and Fat boy , hard to know which I would be without if push came to shove . Harley's get under your skin

The engines are great, the chrome in certain places is fkin sh1te. My 2015 new Street Bob had a load of corrosion within 800 miles.
