Just picked up my new Adv. First impressions....the grips are too small for me, maybe I will get used to them. The screen does such a good job I think it will have to go for the summer, I was dying behind it after only 30 miles.
It is a big lump until it gets moving but on the road it is all I expected. Annakees are crap on diesel

Health to enjoy B, give the big girl a chance in all things. Took me about 2000 mls to settle but now I love it.

The Grand Bernand did the trick, I made the mistake of thinking 'nothing this soft and comfortable could handle' I wuz wrong she did and she does :D :D :D

The screen/tank combo is awesome, sat behind it for many 'ober kilometers' ;)

PS tried to txt and ring the number you sent and couldn't get reply. Ran out of time on my recent trip and had to turn for home :(

I will post the pics within the next few weeks.

Always next year I suppose, Europe is soooo big :thumb

No it won't! It is too fecking hot to ride the thing! Mind you, I will make an effort so I can meet Guitarman tomorrow :thumb

Nice one Bob. :thumb

Glad your pleased with it (like you I don't like the 'thin' grips on the 1200 but no doubt you'll get used to them. Try wearing bulky gloves in the meantime! ;) )

Thanks guys. Sorry to miss you Alte...next time :thumb Thick gloves could be the answer Mike especially as I see it was 38 here today, no wonder I was hot! :D :D
Pics coming soon Gauloises.

Someone suggested tennis/badminton racquet tape. Haven't got around to trying it yet myself, mind you

There was a thread on ADV Rider about thicker grips. Tennis racquet tape was mentioned as were some sort of velcro on grips that looked OK.

At last!!

Good on ya Bob. Enjoy. We'll definitely have to get a day out in the Cevennes later this year when it cools down. Dick should be wobbling your way later this afternoon. We were playing guitars on the terrace till 1am, and hoovered a few bottles of Rose, and a whole case of beer. His alarm was beeping away for half an hour this morning before he got oot his scratcher :D Go easy on him.
Look forward to photos of the bike.../Rob

Im really pleased for you Shenzi,
