I do like the Honda 4 stroke 50's I've got quite a few in various guizes :blast
If it's the fully auto, and not 3 speed semi auto, don't try to overtune it as the g/boxes end up in bits :(
1985 !! is it restricted to 30 ?? as most aren't and if they are, it's on the cdi and that's easily fixed:augie [around £20] plus a C70 carb :thumb2

nice Zorst here :)>>

the low mileage engine is too rare to mess with, so look for another C50 engine and have a play, I've rebuilt one in the missus's sink:spitfire:spitfire:spitfire.

get hold of an eighty five cc big bore barrel and piston OOOO the power :)

PM for places and prices:rolleyes:

I have Monkeys, ST70, Chaly and 50cc Chopper [genuine Honda]

I happen to know that it IS possible to wheely a Cub quite spectacularly :D

Just don't forget about the top box if fitted or you end up sitting in an undignified heap on the road.
DAMHIK :blast

Thanks Proff!! We spent all day messing with it yesterday ,600 milrs in 22 years means the petrol is 22 years old!! Amazing it ran at all .The Carb was full of Shite and so is the tank! It only runs on choke so I guess will need a really good clean out .It all comes apart nicely backing up the low milage ,but my son is dissapointed me cannot yet tear up the road !!will keep yawl informed!!:thumb

All sorted the carb needed an ultra sound to clean it up and now it runs like new !! .seems to get to 40mph with my son on it ,and he absolutley loves it. Straight through the MOT no Problem He keeps Polishing it and is so over the moon with the freedom it has given him, made me remember exactly what that was like when i was 16 and why I LOVE BIKES:thumb

Great news from you :)

One important thing to remember is CHANGE OIL EVERY 1000 MILES or 1 year without fail... 15/40 or 20/50 mineral, Do not under any circumstances use Synth or semi synth as clutch/ auto box will slip:(
Secondly there is a centrifugal oil filter in the flywheel/ clutch, as well as screen in bottom of crankcase.

if not sure when last cleaned, do it now:thumb2

Believe it or not, the Haynes manual is quite good for the little beasties :thumb2

if you need any help or advise, I'm just a PM away :thumb2
