I raced Caterhams, C and E types Jags and rallied a 205GTI and a classic Mini Cooper S did loads of challenge eventing in Land Rovers as well in the 90's... never done more than commute 20K miles a year on a bike... so getting off road on the bike will be interesting... gulp...

Only question so far... on the air intake, should there be a small impression.. about an inch long is the side of the pipe?? Didn't notice it before but it looks like it has been formed with heat??

Yes they all have the indent there. I reckon that the airbox snorkel could easily be converted to some sort of ram-air intake and I might actually give it a go ( in a Heath Robinson sort of way ) ... never know, it might actually work. Watch this space...

Only just back home again... almost 400 miles this weekend, Sailsbury Plain... god this is a big bike... but easy to ride... well over firm ground so far anyway...

Great to meet you and think I know where I'll be having breaky next Saturday morning... looked like a proper feed!
