Pipex for me too!

Prob not the cheapest (£23.44 a month for 2M) but no problems in the 2 years since I moved across.

Recommended!

Cheers - Ian

I've been with Virgin.net since last summer. Their pikey £14.99 connection. Supposedly only 512kB but they upgraded it to 1gB (which is as fast as I can get here in the semi-sticks).

Again, supposedly 3gB monthly cap but they have bever enforced that: I'b be switched off 28 days a month if they did :)

No 12 month contract which was the main seller for me.

The infrastructure is provided by NTL (via BT lines not cable) so check how they fare in your part of the world as it varies by region.

If people in your house use the phone a lot then consider the Talktalk deal from Carphone Whorehouse. The 18 month contract is a bit of a pisser mind.

I currently use Bulldog Broadband http://www.bulldogbroadband.com I am paying £20 a month for a 1 meg connection, and no monthly usage cap.
Free phone customer support, but I could count on one hand how many times I've actually had to phone them :)

Really rubbish, and if i knew what i was doing i'd move today :nenau

Shep, If you do want to move assuming you are on broadband you need to contact your existing ISP and tell them you want a MAC code.
You then need to find a new ISP and give them a call and tell them you would like to migrate your broadband connection to them and then give them the MAC code that your current ISP gave you.
Within about a week your service should transfer over to your newly chosen ISP :)

Depending on your current contract with your current ISP, you may be eligible to pay a fee for ending your contract early, you'd best check this ;)

Thanks for that, i've been with them on broadband for about 10mths and on dial-up before that for many years, they host a website (very small) and i have a couple of domain names with them, would this automaticaly transfer on production of the MAC code?

Shep

Bin with Bt yahoo broadband two years, ok while its working, wait till it breaks down :spitfire wan#ers, they quote 48 hours to get you back online, my last breakdown was 192 hours, fecked them of last week and signed for talk talk, only drawback is 18 month contract, will see how it goes......

hmmm, I see that does make things a little different. I'll have a look on their homepage and see what I can work out :)

Eclipse. Static IP address, smtp incoming e-mail, 8mb unilmited (with disclaimer) , 20 quid a month. 3 years and not a problem.
