Just heard that Infinity are opening a new shop next to their existing premises (premisii?) in Farnborough.

Greg was saying that they will be doing anything that can be "bolted onto a bike"; tyres, exhausts, chips, panniers, screens yadda yadda yadda.

He says he isnt tied to just a handful of manufacturers/distros but will try to open an account with anyone if someone requests an item he cant currently get hold of.

He also said that they would do tuning and a full fitting service. There will be a reduced price for those buying, for example, a replacement exhaust, chip etc and having it fitted at the same time.

Could be very interesting. Will have to go in on their opening day and ask about Touratech...

I hope you all realise that the 'Infinity' name is the old Motorcycle City lot.

Run by Dean Hemmings - son of Alan Hemmings

so why is it any better - its just the name above the door.

same scruples and sharp practise - same older staff at farnborough

Motorcycle City warning aside, I'll pop down and have a look. My company's HQ is at M3 J4A so this is just a short bimble up the road.

I've bought stuff from Infinity Hanger lane and the one on the A316 and I've always found them pretty good.....

Ok, I've never ordered anything from them, but the staff have always been helpfull and know their stuff, (you think i'm going to attempt knowledgeable at this time of night  ?) and they seem to be reasonably stocked.

No complaints here in my admittedly fairly limited dealings with Infinity.

I'm with Fanum, I had some problems with a Shoei that I bought at the Infinity stall at the 2004 Ally Pally show.
What looked like a coating on the visor was peeling off, so I took the helmet and visor into the Hangar Lane shop where Dan (I think) swapped the visor without any questions, even going so far as to drill Pinlock holes in the new visor! He (Dan) was polite, knew what he was talking about, and seemed happy to help.

I'd shop there again.:)

and then put it onto the new helmet that i bought a couple of days later :(

Steptoe,

He must have seen you coming, though probably NOT through that visor!!:D

I've always found the infinity shop friendly and helpful at Hanger Lane and Holborn

I agree, these two branches, and the tiny one on the A316 roundabout at St Margarets, seem to be staffed by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful persons.

So something has changed since the days of Mororcycle City
