I like the rounded edges but the lids are far too deep.

Does the non-exhaust side one actually shut with a crash hemlit sticking out that much?
From the photo's the do look slightly better than some of the other metal panniers I've seen photo's of... in as much as they don't seem to stand away from the bike as much as others, making them deeper/wider/higher I can't make up my mind which direction it is! (how much it sticks out from the bike!) - which is what seems to be the reason you can get a hemlit in...
Please bear in mind - I've never looked at a metal pannier "in the flesh" as it were! but when buying you often don't see these things other than by photo's!
My plastic ones seem bigger inside than many of the metal ones I've seen, these actually look like they may have a greater capacity than the plastic ones!
