This has cropped up before in conversation, has your bike been recalled for the steering damper?
You may want to check the yokes for tightness and also the head bearings, they can come loose.
Funnily enough , the RC8 courtesy bike I have as a dead damper on it ( bike is brand new)

I have my letter from KTM extending my warranty for a year and I have to have my side stand replaced along with the oil filler pipe. No mention of the filter, so guessing that rumour isn't quite right. I have taken a look at my oil filler pipe and it is dozed/cracked, so does need replaced. If those are the problems that have given me an extension to a three year warranty, happy days.
Maybe Engineers horse needs shooting or ears de-waxing.......
Maybe he did not read his letter clearly???- but he did say filter to me and that and KTM are extending the warranty because of the slight chance of engine damage.
my letter does not mention any specific issue , more a generic we have made continuous improvements to the new bikes and want to implement the upgrades to the 2013 bikes.
I don't imagine there are many LC owners that recieve extended warranty as a good will gesture ??

I know what I heard, but as I'm deaf and can't read I have no comment to make!

Indeed ..... I tend to get all my technical information from the fat bloke down the pub. He doesn't actually own or ride a bike but he does seem to know an awful lot about them

Not quite as good as speaking to a work colleague on a daily basis who actually owns one of these 1190R orange Bombay mopeds.
Ah yes but in fairness to fat bloke down the pub he does know the difference between an oil filter and an oil filler plus I've only ever heard him use the word 'rumour' once and that was when Fleetwood Mac was playing on the juke box
