Sorry, I've not reached the LED age yet! I've been using a pair of PIAA halogens for over 10 years with no failures and they are BRIGHT! Will move on to LEDs one day.

They look OK and are probably worth a punt. Their specs are full of waffle so don't expect them to give huge amounts of light. For under £7 though, you probably can't by the bar clamps for that in the UK!

It has been washed since then, but it's been out again. They're supposed to get dirty. It's not an HD ffs.

I ordered the second type in my original post. For various reasons - principally my mislaying the custom brackets Chad made for me - I've only had them fitted on my main beam pair.

My bike should be back from New Zealand in a couple of weeks and is due a bit of a refit. I've found Chad's brackets , so will be fitting the second pair then, I'll report back when I've used them for a few hundred miles...

No, use them on-road as well. I can set the desired brightness for daytime and night-time use. This was just after I fitted them at 70% brightness before setting them up.
