I still enjoy my 411; I don’t really want to transition to the 450, as I’ll be on that slippery slope where I have to buy the latest model.

They are very different bikes but as you can see in the video, they are very competent off road. I've owned both. I suspect the 450 is more suited to Oz and its gravel roads and backwoods trails. On the other hand, the 411 is probably better suited to plonking along the green lanes of England. (Which don't exist up here!)
My 450 has never been off road but is a pretty good one up tourer. Try one. You will not be disappointed.
Thats a good figure. I’ve probably bettered it with my 411, riding it gently.
I’ve always been surprised that the fuel economy of many a motorbike is no better than a car. My BMW diesel has an average of 53.3 mpg on the dash, and most of that is pottering about town and local journeys. A ton and a half of metal to push around. My 1150GS averaged about 50mpg on my long distance trips to the south of France or Germany.
