Tomorrow I pick up my Megamoto. It's a 07' with 4000 km on the clock. It has heated grips, hand protectors and a small luggage rack fitted, but otherwise standard.

I am very excited as I have not yet ridden one:) Some people might even consider me mad, but I will do a short testride before I buy, but I don't think I will be dissapointed.

I'll get back to you on my impressions after riding the 500 km home:)

I don't think you're mad, I bought mine without riding one and haven't regretted it once in almost 5,000 miles :thumb :thumb

I had a nice trip home. Dry roads and temps from 1 - 12 degrees C. I had to cross a mountain pass, and sure wouldn't be without the heated grips. The roads were very slippery due to the dusty remains from the winter roads.

It took a few miles to feel confident in the corners. The front end feels very different from my Tuono, but I'm sure I'll adapt as the miles progress. I rode 480 km and found the bike very comfy. The riding position is close to perfect for me. The seat is ok, but would be a lot better if it was slightly wider. The airflow over my helmet is perfectly turbulence free, so I don't see the need for a screen unless I plan for a very long trip.

A few questions:

The bike is in need of new tires. Anyone tried others than the Pilot Powers? I am very satesfied with the Conti SportAttacks I run on my T. Price is about 70% of the Michelins.

Anyone experimented with lowering the front only? Should give even quicker steering.

Nice pair, looked at the new Tuono a couple of times now :)

What luggage plate is that on the rear of the MM, and how is it fixed? Do you have a closer photo?

It is a BMW item adapted to fit. I'm not sure wich bike it is from. I'll get a pic tomorrow.
