New member tyre advice required

Ive had Roadtec 01, now on PR5 and tbh cant tell the difference but might try the trailriders next time.

The Rt 01 are a good tyre , but they do seem to make the front end , lets say , wander under braking which can make the bike feel unsettled but still a good wet weather tyre.
The PR5 has the same grip in the wet but does not wander under braking and given the choice the PR5 is the more stable tyre.
When away with the wife travelling to Italy I had the RT01 fitted and throughout the journey I kept saying to myself , I wish I could change these tyres as the feeling 2 up was magnified. Good grip tho.
I put the wander down to the additional sypes ( think that's what they are called) on the front tyre which in effect makes the surface move around more.

teapotone swears by those roadsmart 3,s and he does do some mega mileage, another one to think about

Each to their own. For me the worst tyre yet on the GS, yes they grip wet or dry but for me no feed back. They have a hard carcass and a coarse feel to the ride.
Best tyre yet is the Pirelli Scorpion Trail, tons of feel, lots of grip and lots of tread depth/miles.

.

Did they wander all the time or only when you were riding ehh well like you ride....?

The wandering is mainly when pushing the bike under braking , the front grips well but there is an underlying feeling of movement , it never slipped but the feeling for me was unsettling ( one up)
Riding two up ( still at pace ) I found the feeling more noticeable , but as said before its a good tyre but not for me as the movement distracts from the ride .
I have tried many tyre sets , and the RT01 is a good tyre . The ANN3 shocking , Cont TA2 brilliant , PR5 awesome but does not last , Next average , Scorpion Trail good , CR3 giving them another chance so not sure yet.

Thanks. I’ve always liked Metzler tyres. I doubt I would push as hard as you to feel the squirm. I don’t thing th A3s bad just numb and very very loud.
I thought PR5 were supposed to be long lasting now

Conti Road 3. keep shape, grip wet/dry. last good miles. just fitted a new rear. o.e. michelins buggered by 3k. michelin fan but not of the weird annakee things. avoid imo.

Im a little hard on tyres so for me to give an accurate average would not be possible ( I can wreck a set of PR5 in 1500 miles).
