New mirrors R1200GS

Had another little mishap yesterday while trying to adjust a very stubborn mirror and ended up dropping it on the garage floor (don't ask me how but it involved removing it from the bike!) partially breaking the glass at the very edge.

As both mirrors were already slightly scuffed when I got the bike anyway, I've decided to replace them both.

My options are either to go for pattern replacements from Wemoto or go for a different style altogether.

Does anyone have a recommendation for replacements or the originals still the best? It's for my 05 R1200GS by the way.

The mirror mount assembly is fantastic, why replace?

ISTR that F800GS mirrors fit. DavyF fitted them to his bike - there are some pics that he posted if you care to do a search.

Loving the fork mod Wapping, could set a new trend with that one!

Seriously though, there's nothing wrong with the standard mirrors although they could give a wider field of view. Just wondered if anyone knew of any 3rd party ones worth considering over them before I replace them.

Going for pattern ones from Wemoto as they're half the cost of OEM ones. Can't see a reason why not unless there's any good reason I should go for originals?
