That’s pleasing to hear, tried to book mine in December and she’s promised to get in touch, once IT is up and running. Certainly a positive development…….

I wouldn’t touch Group1 with a shitty stick, the car side are an utter joke! I put a deposit down on an ex demonstrator mk3 VW Tiguan that Norwich had advertised for sale. Then they fobbed me off for over two weeks before admitting they never had the car they had accepted the deposit for…but they had something similar I might be interested in!
Tosser’s and took me over 3 months to get my £500 deposit returned.😤

Reiten Motorrad have had the carpet pulled see below from an email sent this morning. A great shame as they were the main life line for BMW owners in Norfolk. Still had great service and they knew the bikes. I hope the new dealership works and they don't pull the plug 2 years in.

Important Update from Reiten Motorrad

We’re excited to share a significant update as Reiten Motorrad embarks on a new chapter in our journey. As of 31st October 2025, BMW Motorrad has made the decision to no longer authorise us as an official BMW Service Centre.

It is their belief that aftersales service should be offered only by retailers who also sell new BMW motorcycles and who adopt their full corporate identity, an approach that differs from what was originally set out to us. While we’re naturally disappointed, we remain incredibly proud of the service we’ve provided to BMW riders over the years—and we’re even more excited about what lies ahead.

While our long-standing relationship with BMW Motorrad is coming to a close, we are proud to be focusing our energy and expertise on the future of motorcycling—with innovative, fast-growing brands like Voge and QJ Motors. These manufacturers represent the next generation of two-wheeled excellence, and we’re thrilled to be part of their journey as they continue to redefine performance, value, and rider experience."

It’s normal procedure to give “exiting” dealers a three month service extension after the dealer has finished selling bikes. It’s how they work now.

Venue is up and running, sales room decorating ongoing (small building by entrance used to be Auto Devotion cars). They have sold a couple of bikes already.

My service booked in for 12th Dec, with (ex Lind Master Tech) so all ticking along nicely. I'll be wandering over to Norfolk Food Hall for a hearty brekkie while I wait.

So does this mean Andrew Mountanything Windsor will be squiring around on an R1300GS

I think the correct appellation based on the infamous photo is Andrew Mountaminor in Windsor.

Also, based on his previous financial connections, he will have use of a BYD and Voge as long as he keeps quiet about Yang Tengbo and Cai Qi

Really well looked after today, by John David and Claire in the showroom….

More re-fitting to happen apparently and as discovered today some IT systems still not interacting as hoped. However Terry conducted the service and jobbed a couple of other things while he had the bike.
I also spent some time flirting with this 9 month, 667 mile old beauty….

Whilst there, Mr & Mrs matching 1250GS took out a 1300 GS and a 1300 GSA.

Think the place will do well.

Centralisation of assets like cars and bikes makes sense.

Mainline dealers have been living in caves for 30 years, finally waking up to the fact that the bricks and mortar look nice….. but it’s the bikes that really matter.

I bought a 1200 GSA off a dealer in an iso container near Basingstoke few years ago, overheads, nearly zero

Any pictures of Claire? Asking for a friend.

I met Tim Rolph when I dropped in there late autumn. I thought he was an extremely helpful, knowledgeable guy.

I need to book my 1200R in for a service. But how to avoid the A11/A47 junction nightmare?

Tim is a top guy, currently has a 1250gs but I think that is making room for a m1000xr. I consider him a good friend.

Mine is in for a valve check, will see what happens as they haven’t been done for 70000miles 🫣

Now here’s a thing, just picked my 1200 up from having the valves done, exhaust were well out of tolerance which I kinda expected, but when I came to pay, got the iPhone out for contactless Apple Pay and they have no card machines?? So they don’t take cash or card, the only way you can pay is by payment link they send you via text or email.
Not sure what people will think about that.

not much different to buying from Amazon surely? My only caveat is that they accept the online payment by credit card for the added layer of protection, especially if the bill is over £100.

Not sure how they will manage for someone without a smartphone or email address. Will they release the vehicle to you to drive home to log into your desktop at home?

did they make this payment method clear before you authorised the service?

I wasn’t aware of the payment system before I had the valves done. I’ve known Tim a long time, he told me it is a group decision which is fair enough. Just that in redneck Norfolk I’ve never come across that before, or anywhere else I’ve been to be honest. You can’t even buy a T-shirt using a debit or credit card, everything is via email and payment link.
