Just spoken to local BMW dealer as my bike broke down last week..... sounds like a valve went through the piston!!!!

Anyone had this one before? Thank god for the extended warranty!!

Any idea what the cost to fix would've been if you didn't have the warranty?

not sure of cost I will ask when I pick the bike up..... I bet it is more than the £360 I spent on the warranty.......

Holy crap the horror just knowing this might happen

First HP2 I heard of though that suffered this, was hoping the HP2 motor was less prone to this type of thing. What is the cause of this? Running to lean or just bad assembly

I don't have extended warranty on mine and just the mere idea of paying £360 a year just incase this happens pretty much sucks
