May be worth a a new thread for guys who have taken the plunge and bought the new 1250 and may have some constructive and helpful points to make after a longer and perhaps more honest account of ownership and actual real time on the bike .
Just a thought as there does seem to be lot of presumptions rather than factual points made by owners.

You’re right.
Just over 2000 miles on mine now and loving it so far.

Got mine two days ago, coming from a 2013 1200gs LC, so far, smoother gearbox, quickshift great at higher RPMs and higher gears not so good at low ones, bike feels heavier handling it at the garage but ok while riding it, noisier tyres (Michelin and I was using Metzeler tourance), mixed experiences with the TFT and bluetooth, (lousy ones with BMW connect app), hill assist is new to me but works well and all the stuff I had on my old one worked on the new one
The main point (engine) it´s like this: if I was told I was riding an upgraded 1200GS I´d believe it, it feels refined compared to my old one but not a real breakthrough power or torque wise.
Anyway pretty happy with it. ;)

I have done 600 miles and just had first service. Came from an 16 plate RT and I am loving it.
Its smoother ie gear box and quick shifter, seems to have so much more power and is a real spirited ride, especially in Dynamic Pro.
The tft dash is great although trying to get the bluetooth to all work is only available to the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts I believe so I have not bothered and just stick to the set up between sena phone and nav and bypass the bike.

In a couple weeks we get hard numbers MOTORRAD Top-test GS 1250 vs 1200...dyno,acceleration,roll
on...the whole enchilada ! The rest seems pretty much the same as the current LC except mechanical noises from the valvetrain seem to be gone...and of course TFT and keyless are part of the package. Not a deal-breaker but I rather have real gauges and a real key instead of more gizmos that might cause trouble later...
Stick we are still waiting for your true evaluation if the extra 84 cc and dual lobe intake-cam are worth spending the 8K to trade up...;)

So far well happy , picking up tomorrow after the 600 mile service , problem is doing long hours at the moment and may not be able to get out .
And the 8 k trade up , for me is fine . I’m happy and look forward to next 2 / 3 years of adventure , as I keep saying , money and time have a connection , they both run out eventually , so if you can enjoy both it’s win win

Are you able to fucking read properly? This thread is for OWNERS to give their impressions.

I’ve done 1500 miles on mine. It’s loosening up nicely, but I’m booked in at Hilltop next weekend, so we’ll see how it compares with my 1200 Rallye.

But I thought you were orange 🍊😂👍

I hear you brother...and look forward to your in debt review !
I'm still real happy with my 2017 TB-ADV...with a little more power even better !
Hopefully the additional power will be enough to say o.k. it's only money,we can always make more but time definitely is only finite and thus more precious,to make memories...:D

I was sworn to secrecy but I knew he’d get one.
How the fuck he got that discount I’ll never know .

We all knew I was going to get one! It’s been fun pretending I wasn’t interested. :D

At least I can pay the bet and still buy a few farkles for less than the RRP, after the discount I got. :green gri

Questions I would like answers too if possible

What’s the paint like on the frames
Does it look/feel thicker or better quality than previous models

Are the gold wheels anodised and are the spokes looking better quality than the previous
