up the track

guys im thinking of going for another ride but this time it will take a few months so i thought i would call on the collective wisdom of hp2 riders.I am not unfamiliar with bike travel and in particular on the hp2, this is my plan. PS i have had a look on horizons etc.

Sydney to London. Thats the plan in a nutshell, and as much planing as i usually do. However seeing as i would love to catch up and put a face to as many of you guys i can, i thought i might plans some stuff.

Im thinking sydney to perth, freighter to thailand, china, mongolia etc. Does anyone have any suggestions.......

I did throw your name in the mix and matey just said that everyone who's ordered will get allocated. I asked if he'd considered mailling people cos that might make the process easier also some may want to come off the mailing as they may have made their own version. Will leave you on the list for chasing.

As for driving through china it's suppsed to be complex cos you need a chinese driving license, guide and thesea re complex to get might be easier to go up japan, then valdivostok, dip into mongolia, back to russia, all the stan's and either under into iran turkey and europe or over thtop into ukraine and europe.

mate of mine has just cycled it

tank

Carl, i have not paid anything yet, so i am way behind. What i was hoping u would do was tell the bloke that this aussie is emailing them and faxing and not getting any responses. Then hopefully they would email me and say pay this amount and we will issue u a receipt etc. Thanks for your help

I've not paid but got the receipt as a confirmation, slight problem with larger last night interpreting my thoughts.

Will send him a fax with your details on it in extra large text that's the best way! email is complete pony...

faxed them to confirm your order sent it on blank paper with your details on, then sent my mine to make sure that my order was being processed or atleast keeping it fresh in their minds...

Now I need to workout what else I need or needs to be done.

don't want to start on anyone but if they was french I swear like a trooper.... just cos they are sausage eaters I don't want to start swearing as I feel slightly more a kinship with'em due the queen being a kraut afterall...

will give'em a call tomorrow cos my money has gone to'em and sofar there's no tank.... got so stressed ordered wunderlich and touratech as well.... it's all gettting bit stressful as I need one sooner rather than later.... cos I have to fit it, test it and workout my fuel consumption to order my fuel for my event....

Large tank and full Akra exhaust for HP2

Has anyone received either of these from HPN yet ???

I'd love to have both but not much luck getting info from HPN of actual delivery.

The big tank is the priority... I'm likely going to buy the Remus headers and Akra can if I can't get the lowdown on the HPN setup very soon...

Anyone that can fill me in, I would appreciate it:confused:

Well it's a long old story

been speaking to HPN for ages now, have paid for a tank as was told all was fine and dandy... that was over 10 days ago as it's friday will give him (Mr. P from HPN) a hard time.

Also got carried away have a tank on order from Wunderlich was told that should be here in less than 10 days as everything in stock....yeah right! that was 3 weeks ago

and to make sure I thought I could do the triple and have ordered tank and pods from Touratech that's been going on since Jan before the tank was available... still no word.

so to make sure I've now bought 2x 10 litre jerry cans and am going to weld a bracket together which will have a secure box in the middle like saddle bags on steriods.....

once all these tanks turn up as I know they all will on the same day! Will put whatever I don't want on the forum for sale!

What a way to run a rail road!

Only way to deal with HPN is by fax their email is crap! and they don't speak much english....that makes sense anyway

I got it 2 weeks ago

hello all.
I got the full akra system 2 weeks ago, fine looking exhaust.
I am riding the HP2 in Iceland right now, and will put the exhaust on when I get home in 2 weeks.
Then I will post pictures, the HP2 is awesome here in Iceland.

what a feckin shower of shite.

someone needs to start making decent stuff at a decent price and be able to supply it on demand.

China supply ? - anyone ?

I was just thinking that myself, got a contact in korea and might have a look but I need to earn some money...

HPN Stuff

Good to know an exhaust has arrived! Looking forward to hearing how it works on your bike gspot...

Good idea loiq for ordering from all 3 suppliers of the new tanks. Throw enough shite and something should stick.

I've just gotten the Wunderlich rear carrier and the 6 lit. Acerbis Aux tank. The luggage racks for the Hepco Beckers were back ordered. I thought of tryng to use the racks to lash down some jerry cans. It seems I'm always running down the last vapors:rolleyes:

The fax comment is a good one. I'll try to round up one of my German speaking friends to help with the order.

Thanks :thumb2

they get very stressed when you shout

"sie sind ein wixer!"

down the phone.....

I've got a whole pile of other words left in my vocabulary so will start shouting some more this afternoon! When these "Pimmelschlicks" get back to work!

I'm surprised these "Arschloecher!" can find their "Arschlochs!"

"Es ist alles ueber der platz! und ich hab da keine zeit dafuer"

Will let you know what these "schlack saecke!" have to say!

regards

tank

Well i reckon the yanks are putting in the massive order so the little guys have to sit in the corner and wait. Sorry for being cynical but its reality these days. IM planning this trip for 2008 from syd/london via middle east and as long as the tank comes this year im good.

matey is on my chase list I have another 14ish days to figure out what to do, stupid thing he sounds very genuine when you speak to him... (Mr. P)

will let you know how things turn out.

German translation please.. AND What tires??

I'm still waiting to find someone to translate my HPN order to German. Not trying too hard as I would like to see someone actually receive one of these tanks first...;) If there is a taker for a translation I'd like to get on the list via a fax. All but one of my emails have been ignored.

:topic Beachman, can you tell me what tires you plan to use on your Sidney to London trip ? How much dirt to do expect to see? I've been through too many Karoo's to do a long trip on them. Next year is Mexico for me.. I've had the Michelin Desert suggested.
