take the rear wheel off, easy job the torque bolts came out fine when i replaced mine ,there is a cut out on the final drive so you can get your long torque in ,i just reused the same bolts with a bit of thread lock ,no problems, mine was shagged after the ferodo came of one of the pads, hence metal on metal, the guys at motorworks said it was a comon thing with the semi linked brakes,if i remember corectly i think it was about eight quid for a good second hand disk and a new set of double h sintered pads.
Usea hot air gun or hairdryer to pre-heat the fingers on the alloy disk carrier before undoing the disk retaining bolts. They have been known to crack at the threads, requiring a new alloy hub at £112 plus vat. DAMHIK.
I was quoted £225 BMW pounds. Bought one from Steptoe for £70 but when I looked at the job, I just knew I'd screw it up (pathetic, I know) so I took it to Adventure Bike Warehouse...they changed the pads, too and charged a lot less than £155
