New rear hub recall and this is the result

Or maybe the flange wasn't heated properly. Either way a wobbly fitted wheel flange can't be caused by worn FD bearings. But the clumsy fitting process (to make it wobble) could easily cause harm to the FD.
 
Happy end to the saga I guess. Bike back, recalls done, new final drive fitted, no cost to me. Excellent service by Bowker Motorrad at Preston.

Folks....I have a 2012 61 plate GS...where do I find details of recalls and if my bike is due some remedial work?

Ring Marshalls, Grimsby. 01472 276666, ask for Adrian. Reg number or last seven digits of the chassis number should be all it needs to allow him to check the database for you.
