Very busy event yesterday evening with a new record of 2495 bikes.

I am aware that a few folks from UKGSER were in attendance.

Too many for me to take photos and GETAPIC.CO.UK were taking photos of all bikes entering the airfield.

Images going online later today: https://www.getapic.co.uk/f396981368

Photos of the event will be on Lincolnshire Bikers Facebook.

Starting up the Lancaster was later than advertised.

Great evening last night what an amazing turnout. It’s a pity they can’t start the engines up say 7.30 as people did tend to start leaving.
Still had some boy racers riding stupidly in the way out

The Mosquito is such a good looking plane, beautiful proportions. I have an affinity for the Lanc too, what a beast.
One of my Dad's favourite tales from his days in the RAF was of when he and the squadron was en route to a tour of duty in Malta. Unfortunately he and his co-pilot managed to bin it on take off. Complete 360, collapsed the undercarriage, bent the props. Everybody walked (or ran) away
And apparently the only damage that mattered was to the squadrons' stock of booze which they had been carrying,. Malta was 'dry' at that point..
