My name is Ard and I’m new around here. Searching on google for info about Morocco I came across this forum and man there is some good information here!
In 2007 a made mi first trip on the quad true Morocco (pictures at www.quadtime.nl) and got infected with the “desert virus”, coming from the Dutch mountains this should not be a surprise for you guys! Within 2 moths I will return. We will start on the first of January from Tangier to Fes and from their on to the Erg chebbi, Zagora etc. I noticed it is hard to find any information on trails from Tangier to Fes to Marrakech etc. If any one has some info on good trails down that line I would much appreciated it. I almost bought the CD with a 1000 tracks but thanks to Tim’s advice I did not fall for that trap.

So far thanks to all providing all that information on this forum and I’ll hope to contribute some myself.

Well there's pistes all over the place, but there's not much to be said for riding over the flat fen-like areas of Morocco. The more interesting places are the mountains and the best resource is Gandini's books which are about £30 each.

The Rif (Tanger to Fez) is covered in volume V. The Middle and High Atlas are covered in volume I.

Thanks for the advice Tim, I bought the book from Chris Scott and wil have a look for Gandini's book.

BTW. I changed mi plans and we will go the south via Nador, not enough info for good pistes from Tangier :nenau

Thanks,
Ard
