Having had both I personally find the Sargent more comfortable and the build quality is excellent with the seats fitting perfectly out of the box.

The Sargent cover for the rear is £50.

According to Sean at Calamander, it's easily fitted and looks the part. The reason I changed my mine was I didn't want to re-cover my stock rear and was trying to buy a used seat off ebay or get a damaged warrenty one if possible. I also thought about just buying a new oe rear seat and re-cover my original one so that when I come to sell the Sargent I wouldn't have to rip the Sargent cover back off the rear. However, a new rear oe seat is £115. It was only £130 difference for the Sargent rear (taking into account the £50 extra for the cover), so I decided to just go the whole hog. Mind you, the shape of the rear is much better too and I can see my pillion partner being very happy with the better seat. Plus there's a really handy storage area under the rear seat which I'll use for visor cleaner/wipes etc.

I got my Sargent (only front) on Friday, and have done ~500km with it, and I fortunately have to say that it is not as good as I hoped for. My problem is the back part which flip up stops me from getting full support, which means that now the unpleasantness have just moved to another place....

Having the front high, and the back low could be a solution, but is not really what I'm looking for in a 270£ seat.

It looks like lower foot pegs are an option (which I got yesterday), but it does not help much, now I'll try with the stock seat to see if that works out...

Oh well in for a penny and all that, order just been placed for Sargent front and rear, can expect delivery mid July, so if any one else thinking of placing an order get in there sharpish, or you could be waiting even longer.

My arse can't wait.

Also took delivery of mine from calamander today - fitted this evening - same as yours but with rock red piping on my 08 gsa (magma red), had a sargent on my 2006 gsa so I know my £475 was well spent. Off to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France in a couple of weeks to break it in (the seat that is !)
