Hi all am wondering if anyone has also changed the Garmin sat nav to the new wireless charging head that clips in. It works with the BMW App. It does it indeed work with bike and the thumb wheel etc. This week have used bike 4 days. The release arm has become sticky and difficult to open without more effort than I would like to use on a plastic item. Has anyone else experienced similar. Have used a small amount of WD on the hinge, what can be seen. I would have expected more for £180. Anyone?

A part of the problem might be that some owners might think that the clamp hinges, when in fact it pulls straight back against its retaining springs.

That would be my thoughts, but there is no question it is quite stiff to operate, if you were to do it with one hand it would be easy to lever it instead of pulling it down.

Like you, I sprayed a little silicone spray into the channels the mechanism runs in, which helped in allowing them to move a little more freely. Then pulling straight back on the mechanism, rather than trying to use the block to lever it back, does the rest.
