New Schuberth C4 And R2 helmets to arrive in Spring 2017!!!!!

Received my new C4 in Legacy Red from Just Helmets yesterday

Excellent helmet. Seems very well made compared to the System 6 which I am replacing.

Went out with it today and it's a much quieter helmet than the System 6 too.

Finally, great service by Just Helmets, kept me updated throughout and the UKGSER price can't be beaten - even by the usual German websites.

Been waiting for a C4 review for ages. I want one of these!!

What's the sizing like?
Did you purchase it with the coms kit, if so what's it like?
Does it feel like it's worth the money?

Picked up my new C4 Legacy and comms today from Bikestop Stevenage.
I'm a very happy bunny with 15% off, just for belonging to the IAM. :aidan

I'm also very happy to buy from them as they are an old established bike business who do an awful lot to promote motorcycling by way of sponsorship.

The sizing seems exactly like the System 6 - I had a system 6 in size 60-61 and ordered the same in the C4 - fits the same.

I did get the comms kit - haven't tried it out yet on the road. But installing it is very easy, just slide the battery and cpu module into 2 slots on the rear edge. The helmet already has the mike and speakers and antenna built in. There is no boom for the mike. Since the helmet seems to have been designed with comm kit in mind it doesn't fell like an add on like the one for the system 6 were the cables were tucked in between the shell and the liner. The charging port is easily accessible unlike the system 6 where you had to pull out a short dongle from behind the liner to charge it. It's made by Sena and the Sena iphone app can be used to set it up. It seems to have some sort of noise suppresion/cancellation for phone calls, but I haven't tested it yet.

The helmet certainly feels like it's well made. I'm happy with what I paid.

Of course, the true test of a good helmet is a one time test and I have no plans to do that.

My old C3 lid had become very loose so I'm getting used to it being very snug.
the helmet oozes quality, the underside is smartly stitched with tactile rubberised material.
The front opens and closes much more easily/smoothly. The speaker positioning is adjustable, no idea where the mike is!

in use the lid is super quiet, and I notice that it seals around my neck much more snugly than the old C3.

immediately I notice the wider field of vision when I do my life saver rear obs before moving off.

chin bar is thicker, nearer your face.

not had a chance to read up on the comms yet. But its very lightweight, small battery, like a panasonic camera battery, and easily slides in the rim below left ear, the business bit, on the other side, very neat.

it comes with two small plastic covers, one for each, but the battery vover is the only one you use when the comms are fitted, as that has rubber buttons.
The covers are pretty flimsy, not the same quality as the rest of the lid, in time I can imagine the tabs possibly breaking.

all in all a happy bunny so far

I envy you. I've ordered mine back in October, and it is yet to be delivered. It will not be delivered until there is big enough order placed by infinity motorcycles. I say bollocks to that and go elsewhere as it might be months before there are enough orders placed by infinity motorcycles. My late 2013 C3 Pro is showing signs of age and done more than 40k miles, but it is still is a usable lid and will remain as a spare lid for a couple of years.

Bikestop already have a few in stock. Because I wanted the yellow legacy I ordered a few weeks ago.

Good to know as they are only 30 minutes up the road from me. Will pay them a visit on Friday perhaps or maybe Saturday.

I wanted the black and orange one, but can't find anyone in the UK who sells it. Debating about ordering it from one of the German sites, but just nervous on sizing.

Great to hear that everyone is full of compliments on it though. Been waiting ages!

Had a look at C4 and a try this afternoon. Fit and finish is very nice indeed, however I require to wear medium size with cheek pads out of the large lid. Currently availability is poor and only available for back orders. Was told that full range of colours and purchasing on the day will be available from mid to late May.

Thanks that's useful. Can you pick and choose cheek pads?
