New screen holders

I had to replace the front screen holders(not the side adjuster nuts system). Very reasonable at about £3 for the pair. Have noticed that the screen sits lower at the front. Previously there was a gap between headlight and screen of about 5mm. This has gone and the screen seems to touch in places. Have they changed the gap on later bikes or should i get this checked out?

Screen Holders.....

Look closely and you will see that they are slightly offset.....

Insert the pointy end into the frame bush, with the threaded boss sloping UPWARDS each side, and the screen will fit perfectly.

BTW if you wrap some PTFE tape around the pointy end until it's a nice tight fit in the frame bush, it helps reduce screen vibration considerably and if the mounts can't vibrate, they can't wear!
