.....my old Evesham jobby is filling up.....I need a new/bigger one.....currently 180GB.....

What's the latest recommendations from you guys 'in the know'

TIA.....:thumb2 :)

i've recently bought one of these which looks like a very nice enclosure.

if i get time later, i'll bung a spare drive in and test it. if i didn't have a drive to use, i'd be looking at one of these to go in it.

you might feel happier buying one ready made off the shelf. i'm sure someone has some suggestions on that score :)

I've had 6 from this supplier :thumb2
1 year warranty on cases, 3 years on actual h/d
Back up service is exemplary :thumb2

750 gig for £78.81p inc vat
Always make sure you specify a "fan cooled" enclosure..

Only other probs I've had is cooling fan gets a little noisy after a while, scares crap out of folks thinking H/D is going tits up :augie
easy to do>> 4 screws endplate>> 2 screws fan>> lift off sticker and put a cocktail stick with a little bit of graphite grease on the bearing :thumb2
DO NOT LEAVE COCKTAIL STICK inside the enclosure:rolleyes::rolleyes:

*ahem*

re: my previous recommendation. lovely made bit of kit with configurable fan management.

shame it doesn't work really :blast :o
