There is definitely something wrong with me! I was thinking it whipped off the bike at 60mph, flying like a frisbee through the air, decapitating a bloke in a beret!

It may well have flown off but I find it hard to believe that both screws would let go, plus my holes are small (ooerrr) so even if backing nut came off it would stay put.

The French bike cops were surprised they are not riveted on like theirs

Oi Hull is a wonderful place. Go there and it means holiday time.
Better than Portsmouth for us Yorkshire types.
