Patton, I think. Ze French inherited much US surplus at War end
Google says its a French AMX30B main battle tank. Parked outside a military training area at Suippes. There was a Mirage jet doing multiple mock attack runs over the training area when I was in the town in June.

Day 11.
V short hop to Lille as I did an extra 70 miles last night as it was so nice.
The accommodation has been amazing.
I frighten the dog, load up and move out, hopefully visit some bike shops on way to Lille and then get a bus into town.

So into the Holiday Inn Lille.
It looks hideous from the outside but it’s nice when in.
Has a pool too so the bus ride gets binned and I just sort my admin out and diss around the pool.
Rather satisfyingly I’ve laid out my last clean pair of pants and last top and socks for tomorrow.
Even more exciting, my deodorant, toothpaste and moisturiser will all run out I morning, top rationing.
Early to bed, 0600 lift tomorrow for 1000 ferry
