I’ve rather cunningly been using old disposable socks and T shirts thus far.

It would be kind if you’d share the route(s) you took at the end of your jaunt. Colmar is a popular destination;,bods might well find it useful, when ‘planning’ their holiday with their six mates, leaving Thursday. It’ll leave them more time to ‘Wing it’ and to panic about police checks on gloves at fuel stations, which they’ve read about.

The last 50 miles makes the tedious bits worth it.
Ibis budget , underground parking, ideal.
Quick shower and head out to find the slipper shop.
After 45 mins and clock ticking towards closing time, my tiny brain has a thought, it’s summer, maybe they are not on display.
I wander around until I find what I think is the right place.
Show lady a picture and yes, they have but they are stowed away until winter.
I flutter my eyelashes and whine about coming a long way etc etc and lady fetches me a pair from storage.
Right colour, right size, right price.
Lady looks bewildered why some stupid English clown is so pleased to get a pair of slippers.
I explain that I’ve mentioned itv on UKGSer,
“Ahhhh. I used to be on there” she says.
“Full of bed wetters and IAM bore mongers so I fucked it off”
Our reach is long troops …….
