Hi, :)

After leaving my first post on general forum section, it is my pleasure to show you my new HP2 Enduro first pics.

I would like to thank you for all your past posts that helped me to make the final decission about HP2.

Three years ago i started reading this HP2 ukgs´r section. Then i had a KTM950ADV, later a GS1200ADV. And now.............the bike i ´ve desired for so long time, maybe since i was a kid and i saw those GS80 Paris Dakar first time. A naked trail bike, two cylinder boxer BMW. less than 180kg. 105 BHP and lots of torque.long suspensions....:aidan:thumb

i cannot hang any pics, forum does not allow me when pasting url.......

Welcome to the site - hopefully you'll have some fun here and join in with the comaradary. You will need to be a site sponsor before you can post pictures and send private messages. There is a link at the top of the page to subscribe - well worth it and then you can show us your pictures of your HP2 in the Spanish counrtyside.

Look forwards to seeing them.

HP2 - Always a good choice :) I am sure you are going to enjoy it, do you have two sets of wheels or only the Enduro set? You have some good roads in your area as well as trails.

Enjoy and welcome.

hi, next wednesday i am going to install the SM kit. This and the low seat are the two items i order from BMW catalog.

By SM kit do you mean the wheels? If so find and fit a small headlight fairing - it makes a huge difference at speed.

yes is the supermoto kit 17" wheels....i am considering an small screen maybe wunderich or something cheaper , kind of universal screen for a naked bike.

I have the Puig screen on my HP2 - makes the bike comfortable at 85/90... apparently :augie

Good luck with the bike - I love mine :clap

SM wheels already installed, pretty smooth, enjoying now torque and power. It is raining a lot today, hope this week go riding to the mountain roads on some sunny afternoon.

I´ve installed low seat from BMW, it is harder than the stock one, but gives me better control on the bike when dealing into traffic. Now i can put more air on rear shock.

by the way i am at 6.5 pressure now, do not know yet how much air shall i put in for SM riding.

I never look at the pressure as the hand pump is hard work, instead I use an air line and set it so the bubble is at the back (The back end sits higher) seems to work OK for me :thumb

OVENPAA,

Gas station air pumps i think they just give a maximum of 6.5.

On the X-challenge right pressure was about 9 or 10, but HP2 air shock is different than the one on the X-ch.

You mean you gamble with the bubble with you sitting on the bike or you standing up aside?. thanks

I have my own compressor that will pump to 10 Bar (Slowly!) Bubble is set to the rear with the bike vertical and me standing next to it, I then sit on it and add air until it feels right, I have the damping set to soft for the road on 17" wheels. I also spent a fair amount of time getting the forks right as well with settings and oil. I suspect the best way is to get the forks re-valve with heavier springs but everything works OK for me so far

ok, i see. thanks.

By the way...............do you really put 10 bar on the HP2 air shock???
looks too hard for me.....i do not really know.

10 Bar? NOOOOO.... being quite honest I cannot remember what it was pumped up to last time however I am sure I made a note, if not I will put a guage on it at the weekend and see what it shows.

I might be mistaken but I'm sure that Si Pavey was saying that 5 or 5.5 was plenty for off-road work and that he was using that pressure, even when racing. I'd be interested to know what you guys are running at.

Sorry for the hijack alfaris :thumb

No problem Mav.:beerjug:

by the way, i put 5.5 first time i took the bike out with 21/17 and karoos and high stock seat. Looked to me too low for off road. Now i switch for the low seat and 17/17 SM set, and i am around 6.5. I feel i shall increase maybe up to 7-7.5. I shall inform you guys i weight 100kg ......naked,,,,,,:aidanthat mean maybe 120 on full motorcycling gear :green gri

My TRANSFORMER on its 1st evolution

Hi, is my pleasure to post a pic of my TRANSFORMER on its 1st evolution (like pokemon). Pretty cold today´s winter afternoon here, went to closest mountain road, asphault was cold, tires new, but the feeling is great. Most important on the highway the thing goes to 180kmh on 6th gear and keeps pushing............5HP plus, much mor rev capacity , minus 50kg from GS1200ADV makes the difference.:eek1 Good exercise for my neck ineed...

windscreen installed

I´ve installed today PUIG windscreen. I see differences among my installation and other people installations.
Mine has a lot of space between front light and screen, i do not know if i shall drill more holes on the screen and low it a bit towards front light and drill holes to pass the turn lights through.

This screen feels like air is not hitting the chest directly like before, but air flows directly to the helmet, where i feel many vibrations and noise. The neck suffers less now as well as shoulders. And from 120km/h if i bend towards fuel tank i can hide myself behind it a bit, so air pressure is reduced a lot ,allowing me go for 180km/h with not much neck suffering.

I´ve also installed TT rear rack, and over it a GIVI plate with a removable 30lts topcase.
Topcase weight: 2,2 kg. Max inside load: 3kg
Max weight allowed for TT rack or Hp2 rear specs: 5kg.
looks like a fullfill specs..............i just want topcase for documents and keep the helmet on it when parked.
