If youve not looked at changing sprockets then i highly recommend it , esp if your going to do any off-roading.
Changed to 15/45 yesterday on my bike and did a quick back-to-back test on the road against the missus's stock setup (16/42, will change heres later).
Throttle response is vastly impoved, hardly any snatch when you throttle on or off !!!
Few minor downsides (but nothing drastic). Revs will be higher than before,
ie
@ 70mph revs at 5,000 vs 4,500 standard
@ 80mph revs at 5,800 vs 5,000 standard.
This will also mean a reduction in fuel economy but thats np imho. Distance wise is np (where you going that actually needs a 200mile fuel tank ?!) and the minor extra cost is totally worth the improved response.
For me its the setup that BMW should of put on as standard...
