New sub-section created

Whilst it’s not a particularly popular app, I thought it worthwhile asking for its own sub-section being created.

My hope is that there might be some users out there who do find it a useful or even quite good app, who will be able to help others. Who knows, we might discover that it’s better than we think.

The odd thing, is that I have found some routes on the Garmin Explore, which I have on my XT but I have no memory of transferring them over. I guess the device did it automatically?

I vaguely remember installing the app once and never doing anything with it.

I might give it a play around, though I am perfectly happy with MyRoute. If nothing else, knowing how it works (or doesn’t) might be handy if I try to help others. The opening post in this new section being a classic example.

As long as it doesn’t do what the XT does with it’s ridiculous version of winding routes.
They’re anything but.
Connected App on the other hand.

The only really reliable way to have a winding route, is to create it yourself.

Wapping: if your XT is paired with your Explore account, yes, it will upload tracks and routes to Explore while connected to a wifi network.

It is possible to “unpair” it from the account.
That will also alter how the tracks are managed and shown on the map.
