Hi there,

I've been on the forum now for a week or so, introduced myself on the "im new" thread, but thought I'd say hello in here too. I live in Sutton, work in Leicester Sq.

I am champing at the bit to meet up for some riding etc.

Can someone please give me the general rundown on the GS life in the south east?

I am also wanting to plan/find a trip in the new year Jan/Feb somewhere (anywhere). I know its out of season, but if we have a mild winter I'm up for anything...

Cheers,

Gareth.

"Ello and welcome from JA Guildford posse massive.

You don't want to get run down in the South East at all - painfull.

If you explain to the missus, I'll come with you in Jan.:(

Failing that, it's all premium ales, gentlemen's excusemes and fine dining at purveyors of pork sliced comestibles here in the Queen's County.:thumb2

Ey-up Gareth,
I'm Farnham way (just the other side from Guildford) & there are a few of us round these parts.
Is your bag road riding or do yo have a hankering for doing a few green lanes & taking your machine off road?

Welcome to the forum.

Edit- Just seen your on a Suki GSXF750F & haven't got the Beemer yet. Hurry up & get vit sorted :thumb2

I hang around the cheap end of weybridge trying to be posh and intileckutal but fail miserably...

what sort of trip do you want to do? there's some nice offroad bits down to wards guildford and beyond. There's a meet up at the beginning of the month at Ace's cafe in london and sometimes down towards goodwood.

there's loads of info on the site

Edit good point no GS hurry and get one, don't ask here which one's best all hell breaks loose about it...:handbag

Hi Gareth,

I'm just down the road from you in Chipstead. Brother-in-law lives in Banstead and also has a 1200GS :thumb

Gareth

You'll find detail of the regular monthly meetings here.

If you fancy a bit of trail riding, rideouts are periodically organised and normally start at Newlands Corner, just outside Guildford. As it happens, there is one planned for tomorrow. Depending on the weather, they might be a bit of a challenge for a GS (and definitely for a GSXF750F!)

Hope to see you soon.

Greg

Welcome Gareth, I'm in Kingston-upon-Thames and hope to see you at a future Ace Cafe breakfast. Tomorrows Wombay Hunt from Newlands Corner would be a good opportunity to meet like minded GS obsessed bikers.

Jeremy

Hi Gareth - I'm quite new on here, based in Godalming and am up for rideouts and green laneing (not ready for a Wombat hunt yet aint got the tyres !!)
Cheers

Thank you all for saying hi..

I've been madly busy since Friday... Just read most of my posts just now!

I picked up my 1200GSA yesterday, so now I now own 2 bikes (although I think the GSXF has now been cast aside to the shadows of my new beast!

Road riding is more of my thing at the moment, but would love to get off road, nothing too adventurous though, maybe something to test the suspension and traction control, not how much mud and water can you cover the bike in before it drowns...

I flew back from Frankfurt on Friday and going back in a few hours from now for 5 days(god I need some sleep!).

Not sure of what I'm up to in the next few weeks but I will keep an eye out for whats going on!

Cheers for now,

Gareth.
