Last weekend I was speaking with a bod from REVS racing about a Wilbers to replace my 2009 rear shock ( GS ) I was looking at their display over at Cosford Air museum ( there was a bike day to support the Air Ambulance)

He told me it would be £510 all in, with a 2 week build. that's with custom tailoring to suit your weight, and whether you carry a pillion, and the percentage of each. etc.

Managed to speak to someone at Revs Racing; very helpful. Quoted me: £437 inc front; £437 inc rear or £612 inc with hydraulic pre-load. 2 week build time.

Give these boys a shout, had my Tiger 1050 done and they did a great job! rebuilt the oe with quality oil, shims, correct weight spring and set up properly as well. It was a 6hr round trip in a van for me and worth the time and money :thumby:

Took the bike out for a little spin with the Wilbers fitted to my '09 1200 GS.... strange but it seemed that the bike was going around corners that bit quicker :D

Had a nice 'country lane' type ride, discovered villages I'd never been through within 20 minutes of my home address.... mostly just a little more than single tracks.... improved what was already a great bike, and a lovely ride on roads it was made for :thumb2

Getting the original shocks serviced at Firefox Racing and adding Hyperpro springs should come in at less than £450 :thumb2

After fitting them I found it to be very harsh for the initial break in so filled up the tank a couple of times.

Hi, I have just checked out the current cost for a set of Ohlins shocks from WBB for my GS12 and notice the price has shot up to $1600 + shipping for a pair. . Still a good deal compared to the RRP in the UK though...(there's a surprise !)

One question: did you have to pay any additional charges like import duty etc?

Ordered up a set of Wilburs from Revs; very helpful on the phone.

Considering that I bought my Wilbers off a fellow tosser last week... I've rang Revs racing twice this week... and spoke to John about set up queries...and he couldn't have been more helpful .... nice in this day and age :thumb2

Sorry for not being around for a while, but yes. On the other hand he wrote "used parts" and set the official value of the parcel to $400, so no biggie there. :coold:coold:coold

I've ridden an Aprilia Pegaso with Wilbers on the back. It's so smith you would swear the back tyre is flat. But it stays planted to the road.
All that bike needs is another Wilbers on the front. Oh dear it's got brake dive teles so progressive springs are about all that can be done at the forks.
