New suspension fitted

Took delivery last week of a new Maxton rear shock. Contemplated lots of different suppliers and went for them in the end after having a long conversation with them.

Its taken a day or two to set it up and get the settings right, but now its set up have been for a long ride in the cairngorms today, all I can say is wow. What a difference. Ride quality is utterly stunning and I swear I must be loads faster in twisty country lanes. I don't get thrown about any more and the feel I get from the rear of the bike is incredible. The best mod I have ever made to a bike.

Just need to save up another £500 for the front shock now......

Best kept secret

Most people think spending £1000 on Akra Headers & Can will make them awesomely fast on their amazing stead

When in reality £1000 on quality suspension will make them 10-15% faster in a bend

Not many people believe you until they try it, preferring noise over shiny shocks

My bikes all have performance suspension whereas the motors and exhaust are bone stock

my non esa gsa was crap on stock suspension, Maxton did shocks for me 3 years ago and it totally transformed the bike, the front has never been altered and the only thing I do when two up with luggage is up the rear pre load by say 10mm on the hydraulic adjuster.
