At least they don't seem to have burdened it with a load of pointless "tech".

Yamaha sure have made that a purposeful looking bike. Considering the XT 660 was such a work horse for them, they didn't update it at all. Whereas the 7 has the world version and updates.
Shame the price has nearly doubled since launch
Think they’ve missed a trick by not offering cruise control.

If you think a £2-3k rise on the standard model bike, is a doubling of the initial launch £8500 price, then I admire your maths
I’d have liked tubeless rims, but only because it’s just easier.

I don’t change bikes much, as I am happy with what I have already
I might have a go ,see if I can do that on my T7.
Some bricks and a scaff board, easy.
