New to BMW..what have I done!

I remove and refit plenty of engine bars
As the bike is not a gsa,
My vote would go with touratech,by far better quality than hepco ones,
And having "tested" them ,I can confirm that they work

They must work, the bike is still perfect!

The BMW off road school don't use any crash bars or head protectors. Rocker covers cost less to fix and don't stress engine parts not built to take the stress. If you are worried about grinding a hole through a rocker cover, they are just as likely to crack on impact with or without protection covers.

As we have a smart alec who knows better than anyone check for yourself. eBay has lots of rocker covers and Nippy Norman sells crash bars and head protectors. Do the sums and go from there.
