Hi , I’ve just purchased a new TTR 550 and wondered what helmet kits people had used successfully with the TT R 550. I’m looking at the Sena 10R or Cardo Packtalk Slim. Any experience of head with a 550 would be handy...did they pair up nicely? It would also need to pair up with an iPhone 7 for calls/music etc.
Cheers

I use the Cardo Packtalk - it works fine. As with all of these things, occasionally you get a connection hitch, but nothing that a turn off/turn on does not sort out; rarely do you ever need to reconnect via Bluetooth settings. Normally it just works fine - (also I use an Apple Phone).

Was watching a tube vid about connecting coms

Almost a black art, but some method in the madness

It depends on what your connecting & running

Interestingly, for the best allround connection success your BT firmware should be 4.0 or higher on all devices (so it said)

BT 3.0 dosent allow multiple connections to devices apparantly

I've been eyeing up the packtalk slim as a potentil replacement to my entry level Sena

The Cardo Packtalk smart H (£170) would be the ideal system for me (HJC) but it’s so blooming expensive here in UK and rarely available. Do you get hammered VAT wise if you order from the likes of FC-Moto.de which is a European site?

Nope as we are still in the EU, for now...

Why go down the route of having to charge stuff at night and having connection problems? Autocom have excellent systems and are worth a look at. if you are worried about the lead hanging from your helmet to the Autocom, it is nothing compared to the problems I have encountered with bluetooth devices.......Units popping off helmets when looking over shoulder....... trying to push buttons on the side of the helmet looking like a secret service agent when talking to a mate on another bike! Just a faff IMHO! And then, Fighting for plug sockets in the budget hotel of your choice to charge the damn thing at night :beerjug:

You must be really inept with technology.....maybe you should just stay at home....:comfort

Inept with technology has nothing to do with it. Repetitive contact with Interphone, Scala sales and repairs had everything to do with it. Continually asking for replacements as their gear was shite!
