Hi my name is the boxers and I am a motorbikeaholic. I have been living in denial for the last 25 years.
Having passed up the chance of riding bikes at the age of 17 in favour of cars. I heve been lusting after the things of beauty called motorbikes ever since. Never quite got round to doing the training and testing necessary for a bike license. Always saying that they were never quite for me.
That was until about 8 months ago. I sat on my first motorbike.
Ok I admit it. It was a Harley
I was allowed to sit on and start it up I was hooked.
I had to do it. Nothing was going to stop me getting a license and a bike.
This thread shows the things I did to get my UK license. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244358
How did I end up here though. It's down to those love 'em or hate 'em biker nuts Ewan and Charlie. Having watched and thoroughly enjoyed the LWR. I thought "I could enjoy doing that". So the course was set, with a few diversions along the way. I arrive here.
I have today taken delivery of my own voyage of discovery a R1200GS (pics to follow). After reading many threads and gaining loads of info I have also ordered many farkles and await their delivery.
No doubt I will have many questions in the future. Just thought I say HI
